We have many long-term employees who have been working for the company for more than 20 years. The experience and expertise of our employees enable us to react quickly to opportunities and problems.

Collectively, Pacific Petroleum’s Senior Management Team have more than 100 years of experience and knowledge in the industry. It allows them to get a better understanding of the needs of their customers. The team is also familiar with the best practices of the trade.

Pacific Petroleum has become an employer of choice for many people. Now, the company has 105 employees across the network.

Pacific Petroleum Team - Michael Hollows

Michael Hollows

Managing Director
Michael Hollows joined Pacific Petroleum in 1992. He is the second generation in the business founded by his father. Michael graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing with a Law minor. Prior to joining the family business, he worked with Stratco, a national manufacturer of building materials. Michael is a member of the Young Presidents Association and a non-executive director for Australian Solvents & Chemicals Company. He is also a member of the Australian Convenience and Petroleum Marketers Association. As the Managing Director of Pacific Petroleum, he is responsible for the daily operations of the company, as well as the company’s performance, as dictated by the board’s overall strategy. During his spare time, Michael enjoys fishing, rugby, and travelling.

John Pickford

Chief Financial Officer
John Pickford has been with Pacific Petroleum for eight years. John is a fully qualified Certified Practicing Accountant. He graduated from South Australian College of Advanced Education with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accountancy. Before joining Pacific Petroleum, John had a diversified financial career in Metals, Mining and Transport both in Australia and Internationally. After leaving the Australian Army in the mid 80’s and undertaking full-time study he worked in various roles culminating in executive positions at several London based commodity and trading houses. Returning to Australia in 2005 he took a senior financial position at Transit Australia Group before joining the Pacific team in February 2010. As the Chief Financial Officer for Pacific Petroleum, he is responsible for all financial and treasury related reporting, including Cash Flow, Risk Exposure Management, Accounts Receivable, Payable, and Credit Control Officers. He also communicates with external business partners including banks and auditors.

Tim Millard

Fuel Sales Manager
Tim Millard graduated from the Australian Institute of Management with a degree in Sales Team Leadership. He also joined a study tour to study and understand the wholesale and retail industry. Tim has been working with Pacific Petroleum for more than 25 years. Prior to becoming the Fuel Sales Manager, he handled different positions such as driveway attendant, yardsman, console operator, service station manager, depot manager, wholesale manager, business development manager, and fuel manager. Tim’s role in the company includes managing and increasing the amount of clients to manned and unmanned facilities, increasing geographical coverage, and placing an managing tanks and creation of sites and equipment.

Darryl Murray

Supply Chain Manager
Darryl Murray has been with  Pacific Petroleum for 27 years now. He joined the company as a console operator in 1990. Since then, he has handled different positions including storeman, package driver, fuel driver, sales, office admin, Nambour depot manager, and scheduling. With his current position, he is responsible for importing stock from Phillips 66, sourcing stock locally with brands like Shell, Mobil, ASCR, and delivering these products locally.

Kristy Staples

HR Manager
Kristy Staples has been with Pacific Petroleum since 2008. She joined the team as the person responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. She became the Office Manager and assisted with fuel processing. She was also responsible for the payroll. Later, as the company grew, Kristy’s role changed into HR manager covering off on HSE. As the HR/HSE Manager and Company Secretary, Kristy is responsible for implementing policies and procedures around the company’s day to day operations.

Chris Stegner

IT Manager
Chris Stegner has been serving Pacific Petroleum since 2009. He is experienced in business and strategy alignment using Information Technology (IT) and human resources. Chris is also knowledgeable in designing and integrating IT infrastructure, using hardware, software, and networking systems based on business and user requirements. Before joining Pacific Petroleum, Chris worked as a lead integration engineer at Ipex ITG (1989-1998). He also served as the Director of Global Integrations Solutions (1998-2009) As an IT Manager, Chris is responsible for the forward planning, design and implementation, and management of the IT infrastructure and related business systems used by Pacific Petroleum.
